We are two highly skilled plastic surgeons, Dr. José Alexander Mendoza Medina and Dr. Liliana Tello Quijano. We are extensively trained and licensed in accredited institutions in Colombia and abroad, with a wealth of experience in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Jose Alexander Mendoza Medina
Dr. Mendoza is a graduate of the San Martin University Foundation, where he obtained his degree as a reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgeon. He later pursued a fellowship (subspecialization) in aesthetic surgery at the Planas Clinic in Barcelona, Spain. Currently, he works in the reconstructive area at the Kennedy West Hospital (southwest subnetwork), at the Nueva Clinic, and at the El Tunal Hospital (southern subnetwork) in the city of Bogotá. At the El Tunal Hospital, he also works as a teacher in the plastic surgery specialization. Previously, he worked at the San Rafael de Facatativá Hospital for 6 years. In addition to his clinical practice, he is an official speaker and independent researcher in Colombia for the Praxis Laboratory focusing on the management of complex wounds. Dr. Mendoza has received notable recognition for his work. He won first place in the Art and Science Award with the clinical case Necrotizing Fasciitis at the Boston Medical Device (BMD), CONVATEC, in June 2012. Additionally, he received an honorable mention in the Arcadio Forero competition at the 8th Bolivarian Regional Congress of Plastic Surgery (FILACP) and 34th National Congress of the Colombian Society of Plastic Surgery (SCCP) in April 2013. This recognition was awarded for his work entitled "Cellulose Fatty Pulpejo Flap of Advancement and Rotation for Reconstruction of the Nail Bed," which was published in the SCCP magazine and the Ibero-American Journal of Plastic Surgery
Dra. Liliana Tello Quijano
Dr. Tello graduated from the University del Valle with a degree in Physiology and Surgery and a degree in Plastic, Aesthetic, Maxillofacial, and Hand Surgery. She performed a fellowship at the Ángeles de las Lomas Hospital at the Institute of Plastic Surgery in Mexico City, focusing on aesthetic, facial, and body surgery, as well as breast reconstruction. She spent six years working in the reconstruction at the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Clinic, the Western Clinic, the Colombia Clinic, and the San Fernando Clinic in Cali. She also practiced aesthetic surgery at the Corpus and Rostrum Clinic. Dr. Tello has lived in Bogotá for nine years, working in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at the San Carlos Hospital for five years. She also worked at the San Rafael de Facatativá Hospital, the Medifaca Clinic, and the Cáqueza Hospital. Currently, she is part of the plastic surgery group at the Los Nogales Clinic, the Nueva Clinic, and the El Tunal Hospital, where she also works as a plastic surgery instructor.
