REDUCTION MAMMOPLASTY

The weight and large size of the breasts can cause chronic back pain that extends to the neck and shoulders, limiting a woman's ability to carry out certain activities, and at times, the pain can be disabling.

The surgical procedure:

During the procedure, breast tissue (gland and fat) as well as skin will be removed. Scars will be present around the nipple areola complex and in the lower pole of the breast. There will be one vertical scar and another in the undermammary fold, forming an inverted T shape. Following the surgery, the patient will have a drain to prevent the accumulation of fluid or blood in the breasts. This drain will be removed after 5 days as part of an outpatient procedure.
