GLUTEAL IMPLANTS

The procedure involves placing silicone gluteal implants, which can be oval or round depending on the desired shape and pelvic characteristics. Round implants are chosen for a more feminine appearance, while oval implants are preferred for a more masculine and athletic look. The implants are inserted through a 5 cm incision between the buttocks (intergluteal) and can be positioned above the gluteus maximus muscle (subfascial), below it (submuscular), or between its fibers (intramuscular).

Avoid sitting directly on the buttocks for the first 2 to 3 weeks.
Use of a post-surgical compression garment as medically indicated.
Sleep preferably on your stomach or side.

Attend medical follow-up appointments and follow instructions regarding physical activity, which can be gradually resumed after 6 to 8 weeks.
